COUNTRYSIDE

Vineyards & Winery

HISTORY

Countryside Vineyards is a small, family owned and operated winery conveniently located in the Tri-Cities, Tennessee area. Nestled in the beautiful hills of Northeast Tennessee, Countryside practices the time-honored traditions of grape growing and wine making.

We opened our doors to the public March 31, 1991 with three wines--White, Red, and Blush. Today, we have a variety of wines--reds and whites from dry to sweet, all medal winners. We welcome visitors to stop by for a tour and a taste of our fine wines.

Countryside is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. We do close on Christmas Day and New Year's Day and have limited hours on all other holidays.

The vineyards have the following grape varieties--Buffalo, Golden Muscat, Vidal, Concord, Chambourcin, Cayauga White and Steuben. We have harvested as much as 40 tons per season. Usually, our harvest begins in mid August and we continue picking until the end of September. Immediately after the grapes are weighed, the wine-making process begins. Each of our wines has its own distinctive characteristics and a taste to please every palate.
